Welcome to the Hellmouth

I haven't been posting much recently because I've been on the road, and preparing for the job talk at BGSU. But I liked this line from Spencer Ackerman, discussing the appearance of apocalyptic Shiite death cults in Iraq: "We don't need Petraeus in Iraq, we need Buffy the motherfucking Vampire Slayer."

This reminds me. Can you please send your rules for the other scenarios of the Buffy game? Especially for "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered", which is awesome.

Ah, yes. Has the symmetry escaped you then ? George W Bush, it is thought by some, exhibits signs of literal belief in his role in a Christian apololyptic cult. The nation's officer corps training schools are usurped by - tah-dah ! - "Christian" extremists. GWB's family has historic links with fascist sponsorship and finance.
It's enough to make one a conspiracy theorist : or emulate one's projected role ! I'm thinking of the old saw " One can live down to others' expectations".
ps He does talk about listening to "voices". Hell, I auditorialize instead of thinking in pictures myself. I'm thinking of something closer to the sort of dream reality obviously exemplified by that astronaut episode.
